Kevin's Thoughts...
Regent Seven Seas is the "All-Inclusive" luxury cruise. While their top line may be a bit higher than other luxury lines, their bottom line is typically a much better value. With all beverages, wifi, restaurants, laundry, excursions, gratuities and air included, when added up these provide quite a value. Even as a luxury line, Regent is a bit more relaxed and comfortable. You don't need a tuxedo to wear in the main dining room like you may need on other lines. Elegant Casual is the standard on Regent.
With unlimited shore excursions included, it's hard not to talk about Regent in terms of being a port centric cruise, but their ships are themselves a work of art. With great food, and keynote speakers on every itinerary, tv personalities, experts, celebrities, and more.
Kids on a luxury cruise are rare, and Regent stands out by allowing children as young as 6 months on the ship. There definitely will not be many kids on your cruise... but you can certainly bring them and they will be welcomed.
Regent cruise ships are a mix of sizes, all technically medium, they are on the smaller end. They range from 490 passengers to 750 passengers per ship. All of the ships are either new, or recently refurbished.
Regent promotions are somewhat common. They don't provide a large benefit, but they can help. Regent raises it's prices at the beginning of each quarter (January, April, July and October). Prices are very unlikely to ever be lower than they were the previous quarter, even with promotions. Booking early is very important. Vance World Travel will add onboard credit to every booking made with us!
Included Air... the price of the air is included in the package, but it can be removed, and it will lower the price. If you have airline points you wish to use, or sometimes we can find you a lower air price by booking it separately. Air is economy on all legs that are considered domestic, and business class over oceans. (For example, a flight from Chicago to Rome, with a stop in New York would be economy from Chicago to New York, and business class from New York to Rome.)
Regent sails all over the world, on no set routes. The itinerary you prefer really drives the dates that you may travel.
