Kevin's Thoughts...
Carnival Cruise Line is often the first name that comes to mind when people think of cruising, and for good reason. While they’ve earned a reputation as a "Booze Cruise" line, this label doesn’t capture the full Carnival experience. Carnival Cruises are lively, upbeat, and filled with fun activities and parties. However, if you prefer a quieter time on board, you’ll find plenty of serene spots to relax as well. But if you're in the mood for a party, Carnival certainly delivers!
Carnival and kids are a perfect match, offering a variety of activities that keep young travelers entertained. From water slides and parks to ropes courses and pools, the options vary by ship but always promise excitement. The kids’ clubs are well-organized and separated by age groups, ensuring that your children will make friends and have a great time. And don’t miss out on the Movies Under the Stars—always a crowd-pleaser!
Carnival’s fleet includes ships of various sizes and ages. While they regularly introduce newer ships, don't overlook the older ones. Many older ships have undergone extensive renovations, so much so that they’ve been renamed, like the Sunshine, Sunrise, and Radiance. The newer ships boast cutting-edge features, including roller coasters on some!
When it comes to promotions, Carnival offers a wide array, although they can sometimes be a bit confusing as the names change frequently. Generally, booking early offers the best savings, and Carnival's liberal repricing programs allow you to rebook at a lower rate if the price drops. Plus, you can even bid on an upgraded room for added luxury.
Carnival sails around the world, primarily on semi-standard routes with a range of cruise lengths—3, 4, 5, 6, and 7-day itineraries, along with a few longer options.
