Kevin's Thoughts...
Carnival Cruise Line is the cruise line most people think of when they think of cruising. This can be good and bad. They have a reputation for being a "Booze Cruise," but that is unfair. Carnival Cruises are fun, upbeat experiences, with parties, and lots of activities. It is easy too to avoid those activities., there are plenty of quiet places on the ship.. if that is what you want. But if you want a party... it certainly is there!
Kids and Carnival go hand in hand. There are lots of activities. Specifics vary by ship, but there are water slides and water parks, ropes courses, pools, and more. There are very active kids clubs that are separated by age group. Your kids will have a lot to do, make friends and have a great time in general. Plus my favorite... Movies Under the Stars.
The ships range in size, and age. There are regularly newer, ships, but don't let that be your only thought. Even older ships have a lot to do. Several of the older ships have been rebuilt so extensively that they get renamed (the Sunshine, Sunrise and Radiance). The newer ships have all the best features, even a roller coaster on a few of them!
Promotions on Carnival can be a mixed bag. There are promotions running every day and they change a often. Typically they are the same promotion that is simply renamed. In general the rule of the earlier you book, the more you save, is true. Carnival has some very liberal repricing programs, where we can re-price your trip if the price goes down. Carnival allows you to bid on an upgraded room.
Carnival sails most of the world, mostly on semi-standard routes that repeat regularly. They have 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 day cruises with a few longer cruises as well.
