Kevin's Thoughts...
Disney cruise line... well, it's Disney! That brings all the good (and sometimes bad) that Disney can offer. Character interactions, Broadway-level shows, and excellent food, plus most cruises visit Castaway Cay, Disney's wonderful private island. All as part of a luxury cruising product.
For kids and families, at a luxury level, no one compares to Disney. There is a ton of things for the kids to do, and they may not want to sleep! It's not all kids of course, people without kids that have a love of Disney will certainly enjoy their cruise too.
The 2 classic ships (Magic and Wonder) are considered medium sized ships with up to 2700 passengers, and the Dream Class ships (Dream and Fantasy) are large ships that carry 4000 passengers. The 3 newest ships (Wish, Treasure and unnamed 3rd ship) also carry approx. 5,000 passengers. The ships are first class luxury throughout. They have Disney everywhere, including hidden Mickeys and other magical touches. Some rooms have virtual portholes that show an image of the outside, with Disney magical touches included.
Disney Cruise Line is a luxury product... it can be expensive, especially if compared to other family-friendly cruise lines, but the experience is hard to compare. Disney rarely runs specials on their cruises, and when they do they are highly restrictive on who qualifies. However, Vance World Travel always offers prices better than Disney can offer... every time!
Disney Cruise Line has 5 ships, and run on set routes, Eastern and Western Caribbean in 3, 4 and 7 night sailings. Certainly there are others, including Alaska, and even Europe, but most of the focus is in the Caribbean.
